About Our Granules
Bio Plus Inc., a Georgia corporation, was incorporated in August, 1989. The company is built around a patented process to utilize peanut hulls in the production of organic aggregate granular products for industry.
Our primary success has been in the consumer horticultural chemical and fertilizer industry. Bio 170 Granules are used extensively in granular pesticides, "weed & feed" fertilizers and as a conditioner for hygroscopic NPK fertilizers. P.B.I. Gordon, Inc. producers of Trimec Herbicides found that herbicide efficacy was enhanced when used with Bio 170 Granules. Tests were made in comparison with other granular carriers and available upon request.
Tests conducted at one of the nations most prestigious olfactory institutes found that chemical shelf odor was reduced using Bio 170 Granules as a carrier for odiferous pesticides.
We now are recognized by major active ingredient producers as the granular carrier of choice for nationally known insecticides and herbicides. Pyrethoids are now used extensively with Bio 170 Granules.
Bio 170 Granules are produced in various screen analysis of 14/40, 10/20 and 6/16. We would be honored to work with customers desiring alternative analysis. We also produce extruded pellets suitable for baits and other applications.
Bio 170 Granules was awarded the first U.S. Patent (No. 5,041,410) in 1991. Since then two others (No. 5,219,818 and 5,229,348) have been awarded. We are the only patented aggregate granules derived from finely ground peanut hulls.

Bio 170 Granules are an extremely versatile product, proven highly successful in granular pesticide and fertilizer formulation. Produced from finely ground peanut hulls, compressed into an aggregate granule, Bio 170 Granules are used extensively throughout the US and Canada as the primary carrier for pyrethroids and other granular pesticides TRIMEC Herbicides display extended efficacy using Bio 170 Granules as a carrier in "weed and feed' fertilizers. (Test results available upon request from P.B.I. Gordon, Inc.) Bio 170 Granules absorb over twice their weight in moisture and disassociate after application, to disperse active ingredients evenly and efficiently. They have been proven superior in controlling chemical odor in consumer pesticide products (Hilltop Research, Inc. Report no. 93-3545-73, available upon request), and their earth color and rapid degradation reduce bird forage (TWIWET Clemson University study no. 0945.1, available upon request). Hygroscopic fertilizers in bags or bulk agricultural lots are successfully moisture conditioned using the highly absorbent granules. Bio 170 Granules are economically priced and are available in sizes from 14/40 granules to 1/16 pellets, in bulk, tote bags or 40 lb. Paper bags F.O.B. Ashburn, Georgia.
